A few words about us...

The west Bengal joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed as west Bengal Board of Examination for Admission to Engineering Degree Colleges in the year 1962, born out of a concept of holding a common admission test for the Engineering colleges of the State of West Bengal. The basic purpose was to select candidates for consideration for admission to the State Colleges on the basis of the results of a single competitive examination, which would also lead to saving of time, energy and expenditure on the part of the candidates in appearing at number of entrance tests.

Clarification regarding ineligible candidates

As informed in the information brochure of JEM-2012, candidates for admission to Medical course must obtain not less than the cutoff marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Otherwise he/she will be treated as ineligible.

This is for information to all concerned that owing to
unexpectedly high demand the Board has decided to extend the
last date of selling of Application forms of JENPARH-2012 and
EVETS-2012 from the earlier notified Branches of Axis Bank up
to 10th April, 2012. The information brochures of the aforesaid
two Entrance examinations along with other details may be down
loaded from Board’s website – www.wbjeeb.in.
